Diligent Technologies Expands Worldwide Channel Partner Program to Meet Business Demand for Scalable Enterprise Class Disk-Based Data Protection

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 13, 2005-- New ProtectTIER Platform Eliminates the Risks of Tape-Based Storage for Top Tier Businesses With the launch of the new ProtecTIER platform and ProtecTIER VT, Diligent Technologies has finalized agreements with several new VARs that will assist in selling the hardware neutral, disk-based data storage solution to the world's largest businesses

New partners for Diligent include: Applied Computer Solutions (ACS), Advanced Systems Group (ASG), Helio Solutions, MHM, RedBridge IT, StorageFlex, Tecnologica, and VLSystems.

They join a core group of approximately 20 existing partners, including Datalink, IPM, and Structured, that will continue to support Diligent's existing product line and its new platform offering

Recent high profile examples of compromised storage tapes, have heightened awareness of the need for improved data storage systems

A recently published research report by ESG says large corporate users are turning to disk-based storage solutions to realize faster, more reliable backup and recovery.

Disk-based storage - or virtual tape libraries - have proven to be highly reliable, which also has aided in their growing popularity

The HyperFactor technology takes advantage of the fact that storage repositories contain a great deal of repetitive data.

The algorithm allows the system to filter out the repetition and only store the new data elements.

This offers a dramatic increase in storage capacity
