General de Alquiler de Maquinaria, S.A. (GAM) est le leader ibérique de la location de matériel, grâce à son chiffre d'affaires et à sa présence géographique.

Avec l'acquisition de nombreuses sociétés régionales de location de matériel, le groupe a commencé son activité en 2003, et depuis sa réputation de fiabilité et solidité ne cesse de croître. Ceci lui a permis, malgré sa jeunesse, d'entrer en bourse, sur le marché de Madrid, en juin 2006.

The Company currently has a broad network of depots formed by 53 generalist stores distributed along the peninsular territory.

As GAM continues to provide services to major customers in the construction and infrastructure sectors, it has launched in mid 2006 an important diversification process that allows the Company to position itself in new strategic markets and to anticipate new business opportunities. In line with this strategy, new specialized business units have been created: GAM Vías (railways), GAM Puertos (harbours), GAM Energía (energy), GAM Eventos (events & entertainment), GAM Verde (environment, landscaping, recycling, golf courses maintenance), GAM Industrial (industrial) and GAM Estructuras (scaffolding & modular equipment). All of them with the objective in mind to offer the c ustomer the most innovative equipment and cover their needs by the "one-stop-shop" system. At the moment, the Company has 4 specialized depots in the Spanish territory.

GAM reported a turnover of 134 MM? at the end of the third quarter 2006, and it is expected to achieve 180MM? by the end of the year. This figure represents a growth rate compared to 2005 of 42% and an EBITDA margin over sales of 41-42%

This remarkable growth has not jeopardized the Company profitability margins that have remained at the same level of previous periods.
