Brembo et Hayes Lemmerz finalisent la vente de la division Automotive Brake Component de Hayes Lemmerz à Brembo North America..

Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc. (Nasdaq: HAYZ) et Brembo S.p.A. (Bourse italienne : BRE) annoncent aujourd'hui la vente de la division Automotive Brake Component de Hayes Lemmerz à Brembo North America, Inc.

La division Automotive Brake Component de Hayes Lemmerz détient des centres de production à Homer (Michigan) et Apodaca (Mexique) qui fabriquent des disques de frein et des tambours pour le marché nord américain des véhicules légers et des véhicules utilitaires légers. Cette division compte environ 250 collaborateurs, dont 64 employés techniques. Le chiffre d'affaires 2006 la division s'élevait à environ 120 millions de dollars.

Under the agreement announced today, Brembo North America, Inc., a subsidiary of Brembo S.p.A., has acquired all of the stock of two Hayes Lemmerz subsidiary companies that own the brake manufacturing operations in Homer and Apodaca and certain assets used in connection with the division's sales, marketing and engineering group located in Hayes Lemmerz' headquarters in Northville, Michigan.

The amount of the transaction is approximately $ 58 million, debt-free.

This transaction will provide Brembo with a solid manufacturing base to supply all the North American operations of all of our customers," Mr. Bombassei said.
