-Suite à la clôture de l'opération, annoncée le 1er décembre, Abertis contrôle 100 % de Autopista Vasco-Aragonesa (Avasa), en Espagne, 100 % de Concesionaria del Elqui (autoroute Los Vilos-La Serena) et 100 % de Gestora de Autopistas, S.A. ("GESA"), au Chili. Abertis a également acquis une participation majoritaire de 78,9 % et le contrôle de Rutas del Pacífico, Rutas II et Operadora del Pacífico ("OPSA") au Chili.
- L'acquisition de ces participations, d'un montant total de 605 millions d'euros, s'est réalisée une fois que Pear Acquisition Corporation, S.L., société contrôlée par le fonds d'infrastructures Citi Infrastructure Partners, L.P., ait finalisé avec succès l'offre publique d'achat des actions d'Itínere.
- Abertis now becomes one of the largest infrastructure management companies in Chile, country in which it is present in all the businesses operated by the firm: toll roads, telecommunications, airports, car parks and logistic parks.
Barcelona, Barcelona, 26 June 2009. - abertis has closed the Itínere share purchase process in various concessionaires in Spain and Chile. The purchase of these shares, for a global cash amount of 605 million euros, materialised once Pear Acquisition Corporation, S.L., controlling company of the Citi Infrastructure Partners, L.P. fund, successfully settled their takeover bid for Itínere shares.
This concludes the process announced last 1 December 2008 and which has resulted in the Grupo abertis acquiring Avasa shares in Spain and shares in Rutas del Pacífico, concessionaire of Elqui, GESA and OPSA, in Chile.

o 50% of Autopista Vasco-Aragonesa, S.A. ("AVASA"), concessionaire of the 294 kilometre AP-68 toll road, linking Zaragoza with Bilbao and in which abertis already holds a 50% stake. With a concession period up to 2026, the AP-68 recorded Average Daily Traffic (ADT) of 14,620 vehicles in 2008.
o 50% of "Rutas del Pacífico, S.A.", toll road concessionaire of the 131 kilometre toll road Rutas del Pacífico, which connects Santiago de Chile with Valparaíso and Viña del Mar. After the operation, abertis will own a 78.9% majority share. This toll road, which has a concession until 2024, has two stretches: Route 68, 110 kilometres long, which links Santiago de Chile with Valparaíso; and Troncal Sur, the 21 kilometre south trunk road connecting Quilpué and Villa Alemana with Viña del Mar. The toll road recorded total ADT of 21,159 vehicles in 2008.
o 50% of "Rutas II", S.A. and 50% of Operadora del Pacífico, S.A. ("OPSA"), management company in charge of the operation and maintenance of the Rutas del Pacífico toll road. abertis holds the majority controlling shares, with a 78.9%.
o 75% of Sociedad Concesionaria del Elqui, S.A. ("Elqui"), title holder of the Los Vilos-La Serena concession (229 kilometres), on the North Chile Highway 5 of which abertis already owns 25%. This road, which has a concession period up until 2022, recorded Average Daily Traffic (ADT) of 4,251 vehicles in 2008.
o 49% of Gestora de Autopistas, S.A. ("GESA"), operations and maintenance company of the Los Vilos-La Serena toll road in Chile, and of which abertis already controls 51%. GESA is also responsible for the management, conservation and exploitation of the following toll roads: Santiago-Los Vilos, (218 kilometres), Túnel del Melón, (5 kilometres), and Chillán-Concepción, (75 kilometres).
