The new Plastics Contracts are to be launched on 27 May and Sucden has been preparing for the launch over several months by developing its systems and by bolstering its trading team

About the LME
1. The LME will launch futures contracts for both polypropylene (PP) and linear low density polyethylene (LL) on 27 May 2005.
2. Both contracts will be traded:
a. simultaneously in open outcry via two five-minute 'Rings':
b. via the electronic trading system 'Select' between 07.00 and 19.00
c. 24 hours via the LME's inter-office telephone market
3. The LME is the world's premier non-ferrous metals market.
