PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2005--Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that they received a one-year contract extension from the University of California to continue providing architect-engineering (A-E) services to the U.S. Department of Energy's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This one-year contract extension, which does not have a ceiling, allows Jacobs to perform work as requested by the University of California. The contract has four additional option years.

Jacobs previously worked with LANL in the 1980s to design research facilities such as the Space Sciences Laboratory and more recently provided project management services for LANL's environmental restoration program.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Michael Higgins stated, "We are proud to remain one of LANL's A-E firms of choice and look forward to continuing our long and productive relationship supporting their critical mission as part of DOE's national defense programs."
Jacobs, with over 35,000 employees and revenues exceeding $5.0 billion, provides technical, professional, and construction services globally.
