Business Editors/Energy Editors
WESTPORT, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 25, 2005--Energy Risk Magazine has recognized Triple Point Technology as its Software House of the Year following a competitive review and vote by its editors. The award was presented earlier this month at the Energy Risk USA 2005 conference held in Houston. The Energy Risk feature article on Triple Point's award is now available at www.tpt.com. The 2005 Energy Risk Awards recognize the most successful and innovative companies in the global commodities trading and risk management industry.
"The reason the editorial board were so impressed with Triple Point was its global capture of the market, and the platform's ability to integrate physical and financial aspects of the market," said Stella Farrington, editor of Energy Risk Magazine. In presenting the award, Energy Risk editors highlighted Triple Point's especially strong corporate performance in 2004, a year marked by the company's worldwide client base growth, substantial repeat business levels, successful new product launches, strengthened corporate financial position, continued heavy R&D reinvestment, and major industry award wins.
During this time, Triple Point has deployed systems to clients doing business on six continents to manage the supply, trading, marketing and movement of commodities including natural gas, power, crude oil and refined products, coal/coke, base metals and ores, agri-foods and other soft commodities, and shipping and freight. Joining Triple Point as top award winners in their respective categories were JP Morgan, Shell, BNP Paribas, NYMEX and Southwest Airlines.
Full results are included in Energy Risk's May issue. This marks the fourth major award won by Triple Point Technology in the past six months.
