Jacobs Receives St. Mary's Hospital Contract for The Century Project

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 2005--Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that a subsidiary company has received a contract to assist in the development of The Century Project at St. Mary's Hospital & Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colo. The Century Project includes a 375,000-square-foot patient tower addition as well as 160,000 square feet of renovation and related development at the hospital site

Jacobs is providing project management and construction management (PM/CM) services to manage and coordinate design and construction.
The $200 million program includes new facilities for acute care patient services including all private patient rooms, surgery, intensive care, the emergency department, materials management, and dietary care as well as renovations providing additional space for the emergency department and surgery, and a new cardiac center of excellence.
The new addition and remodeling will be designed to improve operational efficiency and to meet growing demand.
The PM/CM services Jacobs is providing include program coordination, budget and schedule management, communications management, contract administration, design and construction quality assurance, commissioning management, and move-in coordination
