Commitment to channel development shown with the launch of the Jump Start Business Partner Programme and new appointment of Mike Nutter as Vice President of Partner Channel in EMEA
Stockholm, Sweden — April 3, 2006—Intentia, a global enterprise solutions provider for the manufacturing, distribution and maintenance industries is strengthening its route to channel by formally announcing its strategy in EMEA. The company is demonstrating its commitment to business partners with the introduction of Mike Nutter as the new vice president of partner channels in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Asia) and the unveiling of its Business Partner ‘Jump Start Programme .'
The company is making its industry-leading Java-based enterprise application suite available through both direct and indirect channels as part of its distribution and customer service strategy to drive momentum in high growth industries and countries.
This initiative extends Intentia's geographic reach across the region, and adds value to customers through providing greater choice in local partners with new industry skill sets. Customers will be able to access a high level of expertise in supply chain and business intelligence applications as well as specific knowledge in core vertical industries with complex supply chains, such as food and beverage, wholesale distribution and fashion.
To support this, Intentia has appointed Mike Nutter as the new vice president of partner channels in EMEA. Mike brings with him 15 years' industry experience within Intentia. He now heads a team of 20 people across the region to help drive the company's indirect sales strategy. By 2008, his aim is to increase license revenues from the channel to represent 30 percent of Intentia's total license revenues.
"We have come a long way since I first introduced the concept of a blend between direct and indirect sales to Intentia, with many strong partnerships formed across the region to date," comments Intentia CEO Bertrand Sciard. "Today's announcement formally enforces our message that we are committed to and focused in developing our channel partnerships. The magic of any channel program is to join with the right partner and get them in front of a customer to exchange a solution based on their specific needs and infrastructure. We are confident that we have set in place the right tools, processes and personnel to make this happen."
Business partners selected by Intentia will qualify for the EMEA Jump Start Program, which will provide business partners with the tools necessary to differentiate themselves in the market.
The Jump Start Program includes a start-up kit with price lists, catalogues and current product information; training at Intentia University, including seminars, classroom instruction and web-based learning; and the opportunity to earn Intentia product certification. Other benefits include pre- and post-sales support, the use of Intentia marketing kits, a joint marketing program, dedicated sales support, and sales leads for qualified partners. Additionally, sales tools will be made available, such as competitive analysis support, configuration support, and free online product demonstrations.
In 2005, Intentia recruited 23 new partners to its channel network and is aiming at adding another 50 during 2006. They will play a major role in supporting new business and implementation efforts for Intentia's enterprise application suite across its core target markets—in particular food and beverage, fashion, wholesale distribution and asset maintenance.
