ORAPI's Board of Directors, which convened on September 14, 2007 under Chairman Guy Chifflot, announced its results for the first half of 2007.
ORAPI: value that's growing
For the 1st half of 2007, the ORAPI Group brought in 26.1 Million Euros in net sales, up +35.5% from the 1st half of 2006. This increase is the result of growing sales activity in all of the company's areas of operation.
Since the company's initial public offering in March, 2000, ORAPI has enjoyed strong, continuous growth in net sales. In fact, net sales have increased seven-fold, from 9.5 million Euros in 2000 to 70 million Euros (estimated pro forma net sales) in 2007.
In line with its aggressive acquisition strategy, ORAPI will integrate 2 new companies into the 2007 accounts : Gramos Applied UK (May 2007) and DACD (July 2007).
- The acquisition of the assets and goodwill from the Gramos Applied UK company has allowed ORAPI to integrate 50 years of expertise and gives the company a solid foothold in the dynamic British market.
- The results of the recent acquisition of DACD, a specialized chemical manufacturer based in Valence, France, will be visible in the second half of 2007. The acquisition of this company complements the Group both in terms of industry and geography.
This summer, ORAPI moved into its new factory in Lyon–Saint Vulbas and its equipment is already up and running. This industrial facility, in 100% conformity with the most stringent European regulations, will allow the Group to optimize its supply chain, to increase its production capacity and to significantly increase its productivity.
Outstanding half-year results
The ORAPI Group is seeing the fruit of its quest for increased profitability with current operating income at 2.44 million Euros for the 1st half of 2007, up 83.4%.
Non-recurring costs related to the Lyon Saint-Vulbas move, greatly impacted operating income for the first half-year.
Reflecting the increase in current operating income, the net income (group's share) increased by 26.2% to 1.1 million Euros, versus 0.87 million Euros for the 1st half of 2006.
ORAPI's finances continue to be balanced, with a capital-debt ratio of 73%. The 5.9 million Euros successfully raised by the newly issued capital in June 2007, will be integrated into the Group's own capital during the 2nd half of 2007.
Greater expectations for the future
ORAPI pursues its goal of becoming an independent and incontrovertible specialist in the field of "high-tech consumables".
To reach this objective, the Group benefits from the following means of growth: targeted acquisitions, innovative products, aggressive marketing, a production facility that is unique to Europe, and reinforced capital.
In 2007, the ORAPI Group maintains its objectives:
- geographic development: increasing sales in Europe and in Asia,
- integration of the subsidiaries of Applied Chemicals and DACD, and the upgrading of these subsidiaries to the Group's standards
- an aggressive and innovative marketing strategy that allows the Group to keep up with market trends.
The ORAPI Group announces a new 5-year goal for net sales: 150 Million Euros.
ORAPI designs, produces, and distributes technical solutions and products for maintenance and repair use. ORAPI is listed on compartment C of Euronext Paris under the ISIN code: FR0000075392 - Reuters Code: ORPF.PA – Bloomberg Code: ORAP.FP
