"The Q400 aircraft is at the very top of the global airline industry in terms of flight specifications, technological achievements and cost-effectiveness, said Ivan Misetic, President and Chief Executive Officer, Croatia Airlines. "We are convinced that by acquiring these aircraft, Croatia Airlines will reaffirm its position as a regional leader in Southeast Europe, besides contributing to connecting Croatia with the world and expanding the Croatian economy."
"We are delighted that Croatia Airlines has placed an order for Q400 NextGen airliners so soon after the delivery of its first two Q400 aircraft earlier this year," said Gary R. Scott, President, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. "It's a solid vote of confidence in these aircraft and we look forward to helping Croatia Airlines build a stronger presence in Europe."
Including the order announced today, firm orders for Q400 and Q400 NextGen airliners now total 319, with 210 delivered as of July 31, 2008. The aircraft are in service with, or have been ordered by 25 operators around the world.
